Our Heritage Hall is a great facility, with parking, a fully equipped kitchen and private garden area.

Many local groups use the hall on a regular basis - yoga, pilates and music groups.

Please contact us if you would like to book the hall on a regular basis.

We regret that at present we are unable to take one-off bookings.

The Heritage Hall

The Heritage Hall started off life as a chapel in Ballater and was bought by the Kirk Session of St. Peter's in 1907 for £100!

After the closure of St. Peter's as a place of worship, the church hall was to be sold for housing. Three local benefactors - Allan Pennie, J. Arthur McFarlane and Dr. Sheila Grant purchased the hall for £40,000!

It is now a great facility for the local community and the place for afternoon tea on Sundays during the summer months, after a visit to the Heritage Centre. The Heritage Afternoon teas are all provided and manned by volunteers.

You can have tea/coffee and delicious home bakes for a suggested donation of £5 per person (£3 for under 12s).

We only accept cash payments for teas.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with the teas. If you would like to bake or serve the teas, than contact us and we would be delighted to see you!
